Too much sleep, not enough feeding?!

After reading Baby Whisperer my 12 week old son has been put down for naps during the day, which, happily are getting easier to achieve. However, now I fear it may have gone too far?? He can easily sleep for 2 hours +, three times a day. He shows signs of tiredness about an hour after initial waking in morning and will easily sleep. Sleeping at night is gradually improving, maybe achieve 5 hours now. Wondering if robbing nightime sleep with these naps? That seems logical I know but if I wake him he's a) very cranky and b) very difficult to settle for next nap. Tried differing activities to keep him entertained, to no avail.
Also, he's ff as of 7 weeks but never takes a 'decent' feed with any regularity. Max is 3-4 oz every 3-4 hours. He was 10lb at birth so I would expect more?
He doesn't appear ill, seems to be doing ok otherwise!
