4mo sleep regression

Hi, I'm sure there have been countless threads about this but I'm just after some reassurance really.

My 4mo slept well until 3 months, and it's been steadily worsening since then. Now she wakes every 45 mins, bang at the end of each sleep cycle. I can't get her to nap longer than 45 mins either, that's if I can even get her down in the cot.

I suppose I just want reassurance that this will pass, and if so when did it get better? Is there anything I can do to extend her nap times? I feel if she naps better in the day and I can get her to continue through the 45 minute mark, it will make her night-time sleeping pattern better.

Thanks.

We're also in the throes of the 4 month regression. My DS is fine during the day but more unsettled at night. I too need some reassurance that it will pass! My sister said it lasted a couple of weeks with her DD.

If you know she wakes after 45 minutes (my DS went through this too) have you tried being nearby to shush/ pat her to sleep as soon as she stirs? I have a 'talk back' baby monitor so i can shush my DS when i want him to sleep for longer and i'm in the middle of something else. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, but it does calm him without a doubt. If i catch him early enough before he rouses himself too much it works.
