swaddling in cot?

We've just moved our 15 week old DS into a cot. We swaddle him because he seems to really like it and it helps him sleep. But my sister, my HUGELY OPINIONATED sister, says I shouldn't. Presumably, until he can roll over, it's fine?

yeah, he's fine.
dd1 was swaddled until 6mo.

Thank you CBSaurus. Why did you stop swaddling? When will I know?

Dd2 is 6 months and still doesn't sleep unless swaddled. No idea how to stop!

DS1 swaddled till 5-6mo as well. Stopped swaddling when he was wriggling so much that the swaddling came loose - put him in a Grobag then.

we stopped because she could roll, and was starting to fight the swaddle.

dd2 started to break out of her swaddle at 12 weeks, because she wanted to suck her fingers.

both were very unsettled for a day and night after we stopped, but they both got used to grobags after that.
