Hi all, My lovely 2week old has suddenly grown horns at night. She is ebf and gaining weight. She was sleeping for 3 hr periods at night and settling herself but now is sceaming when put down. She seems to want extra milk which I am happily providing but just screams when put down. She also hiccups lke a maniac after every feed.
Any advice?
This is no 3 so you would think I know what im doing but last baby was 5 yrs ago.
I spent most of last night in tears

wind?
try extra long burping sessions?
TBH this all sounds very normal - she's just enjoying you. My DD only 18wo but I can't remember the fog of 2 weeks very well - seemed to be a lot of crying from me and very little sleeping from her!!!

Enjoy!

Does she have a white tongue by any chance? It could be silent reflux - my baby suddenly developed it and wouldn't settle. Symptoms include not wanting to be put on back and hiccups. She was feeding more and more to try and soothe the pain.

My DD has silent reflux - I took her to the GP and was given infant gaviscon. It works for us, but also keep her upright for a good while after feeding. I was also advised not to pat her back when winding her as this can make it worse. You can also try tilting the cot a bit so she's not flat here has some blocks and wedges but some thick text books work just as wellGrin
