Sleep turned bad - from moses basket to cot

From 3 months my boy has slept regularly from eight pm to seven am. Since moving him to his cot last week at 6 months of age he wakes about 3 or 4 am. Sometimes he goes back to sleep if I settle him but 50% of the time he wants a bottle. Considering I know he can until 7am without a feed I want any advice on if anyone else has had this problem and how they solved it. This morning he was awake at 4am, got him back to sleep by 5am, but he then woke again at 5.30am , was hungry. So instead of feeding him and putting him back in his cot I got him up took him downstairs (like I would when it is time to wake up) and fed him downstairs. He then went to sleep about 1 hour later for 2 whole hours so he obviously still wants to sleep too. Any advice please.

What is your day time routine like?

There's a growth spurt around 6 months. Plus are you giving solids? He could be genuinely hungry as he gets used to solids. A lot of solid fold isn't as filling as milk plus if the balance is a bit out between protein and carbs then he'll get hungry.

his daytime routine, he usually has half hour nap about 2 hours after getting up and maybe another 2 half hour naps during the day. But I do not let him nap after 4pm. He has porridge in morning, veg for lunch and fruit for pudding sometimes with yoghurt. I am going to start him with meats etc now he has reached 6 months. Last night put him to bed at pm, he woke out 3am, was hungry and slept then until eight thirty am. He doesn't sleep a lot during the day which is why I think he has until now slept 12-13 hours at night without feed from about 3 months old !

It should pass. I remember DS eating loads at 6 months then all of a sudden I noticed he'd put on a load of weight!!
