What to do when good sleepers TURN BAD!

HELP ME! DS is 3.3 months. He's in a cotbed, took the sides off just before he turned 3. Never had a problem with his sleep...(woken twice in 2 yrs when we moved house) until the last week. He sleeps in one of those sleeping bags and has finally worked out how to get them off - saying that, he can walk in them.
So, he goes to bed 7-7.30pm and used to do a solid 12 or more hours - he dropped his day nap at around 2.5.
Thing is, now the little bugger just comes into our room on his own anytime from 6am onwards. He looks knackered and is yawning and getting a bit bad tempered but doesn't go back to sleep....! It's not that light in his room, but am aware clocks go forward soon, so potentially he could be rising even earlier?!

Just wondered if anyone else has had this?

Is he now needing less sleep? He must only be getting 10.5 hours, if that.

I'm not being smug at all - we also have a 2 year old DD who is a TERRIBLE sleeper, up at 5.30am, never does more than 10 hours etc...and I just don't want a situation where one of us has to be up with both of them before 6am!

My DS who is 3.11yrs has started this 6am waking thing too since the new year really. I don't get it either.

He will sleep later some nights.
He starts school in September so I guess he'll be fine then and sleep more then cos he'll be more tired.?
Will have to see. A phase I'm hoping that will go away soon! Smile
