Grabbing & shaking cot bars while trying to get to sleep - argh!

DD is 7.5 months and seems to have invented a new game of reaching out for the cot bars and shaking them Hmm, while I'm trying to get her to sleep (naps as well as bedtime).

She is definitely tired enough - up in the morning for 2.5 hours, yawns, rubbing eyes (all while she's in the cot). She almost falls asleep while I'm sitting holding her for our quiet time, but as soon as I transfer her to the cot, she sees the bars and goes a bit mental is awake again, kicking her legs and bouncing.

Anyone else's DC do this? How can I prevent it? It's keeping her awake when I know she actually wants to sleep!
