Daytime naps all gone wrong since dummy left home

Help! I took DDs (21months) dummy away about 2 months ago and she reacted VERY well and made very little fuss. However (!), ever since then although she sleeps at night ok, the daytime naps have reduced considerably and she also resists even going in the cot! I used to just read a quiet story and take her up, she'd roll over and that would be it for approx. 2 hours every day. Now she screams unless I stay with her until she's asleep (this is what happens at nursery) and then wakes after 1 sleep cycle (45-60 mins). If I hear her stirring I run up and just pat/shh and she goes back off but if I miss the stirring and she wakes proprerly that's it for day and she's hell by tea time!

Any advice anyone?

My 21 month ds refuses to nap mostly. I dont think that your dd is not sleeping because of not having dummy but at this age kids start decreasing their sleep.
