9 month waking during night

DD has slept through night since 4 months but past week has been wakening at all hours. She is still tired and will sleep in my arms if nurse her but as soon as put her back in cot she starts crying again. I have had to give her a bottle past few nights which sends her back to sleep which I dont want to start getting her used to it again. Trouble is I dont know if its her mouth thats sore and she also seems to he passing a lot of wind which could be hurting. Anyone have any ideas on settling her without a bottle?

Thanks suss I'll have a look on that web site, especially with this bad weather coming in. No sleep again, well not strictly true, only up once but was up from 2.30 to 3.17am cuddling her, not sure what was wrong, again passing wind but not sure if thats the problem or not. How is db doing after his restless day?

My DD is 15 months and still wakes up during the night. Don't panic, as long as it's easy to get them back to sleep.DD wakes up for cuddles.I don't deny her them, as it makes her happy and when I tried all sorts of sleep advice, it did nothing but make her insecure and sleep even less!At the end of the day, whats the point of a perfect sleeper if it's unhappy.

Hi Lynn sorry to hear that you had a disturbed night. DB woke about eight times last night, he screamed three times before we had even got to bed, there was nothing wrong he just couldn't settle, which happens occasionally. I find if he wakes early in the evening that's it for the night he just keeps waking. Who knows what tonight shall bring. I just hope he will have another good patch as I am having my egg collection for IVF next week and I could do with the rest. I did go to bed this afternoon at lunchtime, when DB was sleeping and 1 got 1/2 hr nap amazingly. Sweet dreams!

Oh no sounds awful getting up that often. How was last night then? I take it was not too good since you were up late. Terrible night again for me and resorted to calpol to eventually get some sleep. Dont think she was in pain although were wee bursts of cries but had tried everything else and was at my wits end watching the clock go round and thinking I need to get up for work soon whilst dd was coming more and more to life.

Thats great you managed to get a wee siesta yesterday. Try getting one every day even if you dont sleep it will do you good just to lie down and relax. Hope all goes well with collection next week and get good results.

~Lynn do you think we should start a new thread 10 month waking at night or in my case 10 month old decides he needs no sleep for one week in three. Ha Ha Ha. Seriously we might actually find somebody who knows what they are doing, because I am not entirely sure I do! Still no top teeth here. I am sorry to hear about your bad night and you work so no siesta . DB has slept for about 50 mins today so I am expecting another bad night to go with the last three. DB has learnt how to stand up in his cot, and I think he spent his lunchtime nap practising! How does your DD nap during the day? Does she have set naps and does she sleep well? I have told DH that it is takeaway tonight, can't be bothered to cook. Hope you have a great weekend and that both our babes sleep like babes!

Hi suss - how was your weekend? Mine was fantastic, dd went down at 10.15pm both Friday and Saturday and slept till 7.45 and 8am without waking up. Couldnt believe it and made such a difference mood wise for me too. Although...yip sure enough last night back up twice sitting with her till she went back to sleep. Didnt seem in any pain although gave her teething powder to soothe her anyway so didnt seem any reason for her to be awake. She usually has good naps during the day, one around 10.30ish then another around 5ish then thats her till bedtime each nap being around hour and half.

Awe sounds cute your dd standing up waiting for you. DD not standing or anything yet but dont think she will be far off. And quite right getting a take away, we done the same Friday night, just need a break from the usual sometimes and last thing we need is standing over cooker when weve had so little sleep.

Oh and yes probably should start new thread, actually meant to post this to new one but started typing before realised. I'll look out for you if you want to start another one.
