My daughter is 10 weeks old tomorrow has a regular bedtime of 7 sleeps till between 2 and 3 ish wakes for a feed self settles go back to sleep for 3 ish hours, as she is really hungry for the middle of the night feed have tried dream feeding her the last 3 nights, first night I did it at ten as she didnt want a bottle before bed, she drank 4 oz and slept till half 4, night after did it at 11 as she did have a bottle at bedtime that night she only drank 3 0z but slept till half 5, but last night was a disaster she had a dream feed at 11 drank 5 oz and only slept till 2! she was crying a bit so i gave her a dummy and she stirred until 3.30 when i fed her she then woke at 5 but only wanted her bottle at 7 am then she went back to sleep at 8 for an hour.

do you think i should scrap the dream feed?x

I've never seen the point of dream-feeds, personally. It always feels like forcing food on a sleeping person!! My experience was that, as they get older, they can go a little longer after the last feed of the day before they wake up. So at first you might be up three times a night but gradually they can sleep longer, don't need so many feeds, and don't need that first feed of the night quite so quickly. And once you get going with solid foods, the night feed drops away quite rapidly.

It's hard in the early days to keep up with the night shifts but it does improve relatively rapidly by itself. Go with your instinct. Good luck
