After 2 weeks of bad sleeping due to cold, then unsettled since the cold, I finally had a good night's sleep!!!

She's 2 1/2, and normally sleeps about 11 hours... yesterday (after a busy 3 days), she fell asleep on the sofa at 4.45pm, I fell asleep at 6pm giving DH instructions to wake me when she woke... when I woke at 8, I assumed that he'd forgotten to wake me, but she was still asleep. I thought we were in for a very long night of baby refreshed from nap, and refusing bed but she went up then, and stayed asleep!!!

I feel soooo much better today (could still sleep for most of the day given the chance though ).

You can all grrrr me as much as you like, but I needed it, and I'm proud, so there!

How much are we betting that its back to normal tonight?

fingers cross for you and get well soon

D'you think taking her for a very long walk can be classed as "good for her" or will her legs just fall off?

its best for you to try and keep her awake all day and she will go back to the routine all knackered by tonite

Sorry everyone but just HAVE to say my ds normally sleeps for nearly this amount of time every night. He goes down at 6.4pm and wakes between 8.30 and 9am everyday.Wow arent I lucky.

Mum2oliver - how old is your ds and does he have any naps during the day?

I'm not sure what to do with DD at the moment - I don't really want to cut out her afternoon nap as I need it (more than she does sometimes) but she has recently cut about an hour (half an hour either end) of her usual 12 hour night sleep. She's also much more reluctant to go down for her afternoon sleep.
