He had a good night last night, 6 hours which is our longest ever stretch, but it meant he was up an hour and a half early.

Since then though, hes slept nearly all day. I thought he wouldnt sleep tonight but hes gone down easily.

No temp, but of a cold last week which is still hanging around.

Thoughts? Should I worry?

What are you doing about feeding? I think you are meant to wake about once every 4 hours for a feed.

Mammie81 · 19/02/2011 21:25

Ive had to wake him up for some of the feeds, or hes woken himself for others. But hes fed well, had a bit of a smile and a play, then nodded off again.

He's probably fine then. If there is no temperature and he seems settled I would enjoy the peace and quiet! See how he is tomorrow.

Mammie81 · 19/02/2011 21:34

Hes been in the pram or cuddled most of the day and that always sends him off. I guess I was just expecting hell tonight and yet, so far so good!

I have found with all of mine they go through the odd day like this where it just seems as if all they have done is sleep that day sometimes it lasts for a day sometimes a few.
I would say he is robably fine but keep an eye on him for any bugs or colds lurking.

Don't knock it! The better my DS sleeps during the day, the better at night. All that 'robbing night time sleep' is rubbish. Congratulations on your LO beginning to sleep through!

Ooh totally agree with the sleep better in the day sleep better at night.
Find over tired babies so much grumpier and unsettled than a well slept baby.

Yeah mine def had the odd day like that at that age, could be growth spurt or similar - as long as he is feeding reguallry just enjoy teh peace!

WorrisomeHeart · 20/02/2011 19:55

Yep, agree with the growth spurt theory - he's right on target for the 12ish week one. My DS used to tackle growth spurts by having one day of feeding furiously and the next day of snoozing most of the day away. Now (at 17 weeks) he just does the feeding day and I miss the peace and quiet! Grin
As long as he's feeding and having 'nice' nappies and no temp, I would enjoy it!

Sounds fine to me - at about that age my DS used to have one hungry day, one sleepy day then one happy day in rotation!
