Sleeping bags in cots??

Hi all,

My 6mo ds is goimg into his cot for the first time tonight after having spent every night in his moses basket. He's a little devil for kicking off bedding so I've always used sleeping bags for him. However I'm a little concerned about whether or not he will be able to roll over freely when in one. I dont want him to struggle from his back to his front and then get stuck.

I'm sure I probably sound a little neurotic, I'm just anxious about the transition.

Any thoughts or advice greatly welcome :)

He will be fine in a grobag - he'll still have the freedom to move about as he wants.

Neither of my DC ever had a problem rolling in their sleeping bags. He should be fine.

Has he ever slept in his cot before?

dd2 has always been in them and shes had no problem. I was advised to put the moses basket in the cot for a few nights to help her get used to it, I did and she went in to it fine but I have no idea if it helped or not.

Good luck!

Grow bags are great ! My two had them and are ideal for babies that wriggle and kick blankets off.

He will be fine.

I'm another one saying that my DD was fine in her sleeping bag in her cot, I did the same as gree and put the basket in the cot for the first couple of nights.
