When did you stop using sleepbags?

DS, 16 months, is in a sleepbag and seems comfy. But I'm not convinced he's warm enough so thinking about using a duvet (he already has two layers under the 2.5 tog sleep bag).

When did you switch from sleep bags to a duet? DS is still in a cot though so not sure how it'll work!

TIA

At 2.1 years when she went into her own bed, but then used grobag first bedding set where the duvet zips onto the bottom sheet. I think they are excellent and my DD loves them. She's now nearly 4 and if I don't zip it all the way up I get told off :)

DS1 (4 at the end of the month) is still in a sleeping bag, even though he sleeps in a bed, because he hated the idea of only being covered by a duvet - I had to source one for 3-6 year olds from Canada, because I couldn't find anything big enough for him here.

DS2 is 2.4 yrs and still in a bag (DS1's old bag from JoJo Maman Bebe, which goes up to 4 years, although DS1 outgrew his almost a year ago)- I expect he'll want to stay in one for as long as DS1 has one.

I don't mind it, as it keeps them warm, and on the rare occasions that DS1 has to get up to go to the loo I have to get up to unzip him - but then I'd have to get up anyway, because he doesn't like going to the loo by himself at night.

npin,

What a great idea, shame those weren't around when my DCs were little.

Still, they sleep brilliantly now and I hold bags responsible.

When my friends are expecting babies, my default gift is a baby sleeping bag - I've always been told it's a lifesaver!

Still using bags at 19m.

DD tends to move around the cot quite a lot, so I don't see how blankets/duvet would work.

She seems well warm enough in 2.5 tog one for winter, plus I'm hoping it will postpone her climbing out of the cot, as we want to keep her in it as long as possible before moving her to a bed.

Still in a bag at 3 - only changed once dc2 got used to the 'big bed' at about 3 yrs 4/5 months.

mine still in a bag at nearly 3 - tried duvet, big novelty value for her but zero success because she ca't re-cover herself when she wakes!
