PUPD for naps only - any point?

DD is OK is at night at 17 wks 7-7 with two feeds which I don't mind as she goes down quickly and we've had weight issues and I'm not hung up on going through the night (not yet anyway!) we have other brief awakenings sometimes but not all the time so its fine.

Naps: she's not self settling or accepting the idea so well, even when clearly needing a nap, also going 45mins more and more often. And she's sooooo long I need to move her naps from pram to cot and it will be an adjustment (I've tried twice and she found it all VERY exciting)

Is she too young? Is there any point, will it work just for daytime sleeps? I don't have the BW books so not sure of the thinking around it.

Thank you.
