I really need some help! My DS is 8 weeks and after having two fabulous weeks of him sleeping through the night till 6am, he's now decided to go the other way.

He now wakes at 1am and stays awake till 6am. As far as i know, i'm not doing anything different. When he's awake, we feed and burp him in a dark room, and then he decided he wants to kick around! And the cycle of feeding him starts again.

I take him for walks thinking that will help, not letting him nap for too long, giving him a bath every night....

I really don't know what to do as now i'm constantly tired and i feel so down about this. You see so many other mums with more get up and go ansd i can't seem to function through the dy

At 1am is he crying or just 'kicking around'? If he's happy just gurgling in his cot, clean, dry, fed, warm etc. you can probably leave him be and go back to bed for a few hours. And does 'not letting him nap too long' mean you wake him up? Sometimes if they've not had enough sleep during the day they can find it hard to settle at night. Is the cot in your room still or his own room?

Best tip is to try, best you can, to catch up on your own sleep when he has a nap, go to bed super-early etc. There's not always a logical reason for babies doing odd things so you just have to look after yourself and not panic unduly. Other mums are probably just as tired :)
