getting my dd to sleep in her cot?

DD is 6 months tomorrow and has always co-slept with me. The ONLY way I have ever been able to get her off to sleep is by lying with her in bed and feeding her to sleep. Nursing her in a chair doesn't work.

She is such a light sleeper, and wakes several times during the night if I make the slightest movement in my sleep. I really want to try and get her a bit used to being in a cot as I think she may sleep better if I am not disturbing her. Also she will be on the move soon and I am worried about her crawling/rolling off the bed, especially in the time between her going to bed and me going to bed.

Any tips? She has literally never slept in her cot, even for a nap.
