10.5 mo sleeping/eating probs

My 10.5 mo son has begun to wake several times during the night after sleeping through since he was about 3 months (I b/f till he was 5 months). He usually screams out as soon as he wakes and takes at least a couple of oz of milk so he seems to be hungry although I don't know if this is just a comfort thing?!

I suspect the reason for this waking is that he is not taking enough food during the day as he has recently become much more active, walking and babbling all day! He takes all his milk feeds during the day but is not taking on much solid food. He has a combination of finger food and mush but really only takes a small amount of either.

He also naps during the day between 2-3 hours.

Do you think I am right in my theory that he needs to take more food in the day; or is the problem related to his day naps, night terrors, separation anxiety etc etc.....?! Any theories are welcome! Thanks guys! x

Sorry I don't really have the answer for you, but I believe there is a 9/10 month sleep regression which can affect babies of this age. Certainly my own DD's sleep got a lot worse at 10 months (and has not improved Sad).

Thanks for that Scones! Things seem to have settled down slightly although I have been proved wrong in my theory about him being hungry as he's still not eating well but is sleeping better. No idea what it was but we're on to the next challenge now! You never really know what's going with them do you?! It's all just supposition and I'm slowly getting used to it! X
