Good lullaby cd

Can anyone recommend one? My ds is nearly 2 and gas a twinkle twinkle pull string toy that soothes him but only lasts for a minute. He gets frustrated by it stopping and calls me to check I am there.

I think he would find going to sleep easier with constant repetitive soothing music - it's only lately that he hasn't dropped straight off - an age thing I guess.

Can anyone recommend either a machine for plays for 20 minutes or so or a soothing cd?

We play Classic FM CD music for babies sleeping, have done for aaages. Now DD (21 months) asks for "babies" every evening we go to her room. There is one track that gets annoyingly fast and complex though so when we had to make a copy due to it starting to jump we took that one off. The second half is particulalry soothing, with some gentle singing (not in English) and the last 4 especially so. Creates a nice relaxing atmosphere for all of us.

We play Rock Lullabies, you know the lullaby versions of anything from The Beatles to Nirvana. We actually stream it from the Napster website, but I think there are CDs you can buy.

Thanks all. Can I ask what do you do when away from home? Do you use an iPod and stand or take a cd player along?

Use an ipod, use it all the time whether home or away

This is a really lovely album. I haven't tried it at night but it calms my DS during the day.

Second the recommendation by Judysdreamhorse - we listen to it every night during the last feed as part of the bedtime routine. Not sure it has much of an effect on DS (manic wriggler that he is) but I find it very relaxing, which is useful in itself... !

Google "rock lullaby". There are hundreds to choose from, we love the nirvana one, or rather, DS does. It is basically rock music turned into lovely classical music, i defy you to stay awake let alone the baby!
