4 week old will only sleep on her side

my nearly 4 week old had a vomiting bug on the weekend - better now but ever since will only sleep on her side and screams if i put her on her back. she has lots of farts and i think trapped wind so i think being on her back exacebates it though infacol is helping.

i know sids guidelines is to sleep on her back but thzt is not the choice right now - choice is to have no sleep or side sleep (though when she starts on side she seems to end up on back after half hour or so.

any advice?

My DD preferred (and still does) sleeping on her side. In the end, I got a Ditto Respisense monitor, popped it on her nappy waistband and let her sleep on her side. That way if there was a problem with her breathing I would be alerted.
All was well.
