Ok so dd came in to this world having not recieved any sleeping genes whatsoever. Fast forward 19mths and I was starting to go slightly insane. We went on holiday at new years and the portacot we hired was um to put it politely scungy and I would have been hard pressed to put my dog in it so we put her in the bottom bunk with her brother on top. We are now up to night 7 (31st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and tonight) she took under 5 minutes to fall asleep tonight and is still asleep. OMG!!!!! This from the child who was taking 2-3 hours to go to sleep, lasting 40 minutes max, taking another 30-60 minutes to resettle etc etc until finally deciding that 5am would be an adequate wake up. She was asleep before 6.30 tonight....I hardly dare to hope that the nightmare may be over all due to being in a bed instead of a cot???!!!!

My dd slept better as soon as she went in a bed also.

Wow, you must be so pleased! And well rested!

Ds was exactly the same, 2 years of not sleeping then into a bed and now the world's best sleeper.
