Fecking afternoon nap....

My 10.5 mo will go down for a nap no problem. Trouble is she wont sleep for long enough.

She has a good half hour or so at 9am and is tired at 12.45pm but will only sleep for an hour. I have done CC for night sleep and this has worked.

(She will do 1.5 hours or more if I nap with her)

CC just doesn't work with her afternoon nap.

When she wakes she just automatically sits up as if a reflex.

This has been going on for months and she is shattered by tea time and she is not a great eater at the moment either.

Anyone else have this problem? I thought she would have got better as time went on...but no.

She has a bottle at 2.30pm and her tea at 5pm. She has dropped her 4pm nap.

Sorry about the typos, DD hanging off my leg! She only has 3 bottom teeth that should say too!

Whether they have teeth or not doesn't seem to influence how well they eat, one of mine didn't have any teeth until 18 months, the others were over a year old - never stopped any of them eating anything!

All you can do is offer her the food you want her to have and then take it away again at the end of meal time. She will improve over time but I know that's little comfort for you at the moment......

When my DS was teething or coming down with something, he won't eat properly... He'll catch up later. I find if he goes through that phase letting him play with food, not pressuring and letting him take my food, he'll take more.
