Wake to sleep question

I want to try the wake to sleep technique to try to fer 16 mo DD sleep past 5am. Could anyone who has either tried it or read about it answer these questions please? How much earlier than the usual wake time should I try waking her? Do I wake her completely and lift her out of the cot?

Thanks.

its normally about an hour before the usual wake up and I would try to disturb her rather than wake her completely

Thanks. I'll set my alarm for 4am then!

Anyone know how quickly this works, if it's going to? She woke at 5.20, but didn't need me till 6, just talked to herself. An improvement I suppose. I, however, have been awake since 3.30am!

I think they say to try it for at least 3 nights. Have a look at the babywhisperer website for more info

Thanks. I didn't know where the technique came from. Will have a look.
