at what age did you put your dc in their own bed from a cot?

dd was around the age of 2 and ds was 2 1/2. Both went into single beds rather than toddler beds

around 2y3m - both were in a cot bed that I converted from cot to bed.
ds1 because he was to heavy for me to lift in and out.
ds2 because he climbed out.
