White noise, is there a CD before I kill my dyson/hairdryer?

Baby seems to like the sound of my v expensive psalon arlux hairdryer as opposed to the tesco value one I bought for the purpose, putting aside the risk of having the hairdryer or hoover on for extended periods (I don't leave the room if its running)I will soon burn the motors out at this rate!

Any ideas for white noise? CD's or make my own!?

There's an app called Sleepmaker All in One which has a variety of noises (although none mechanical). I use it for myself when DH is away as the house makes strange noises.
