I put mine in as they get into bed or later on if the house is warm.

right he is going in a babygro - no vest and his new sleeping bag when it cools down later.

Has he gone off yet c?

I usually leave mine howling (rapter like screech in my case) for about 3-4 minutes which ususally sees him off.

codswallop · 02/09/2003 20:11

mine's whimpering - must go and re-dummy her. Refused to wake up for late feed last night so it was a long hour in the small hours of this morning...

...going to hand her to fathersuperior's tender mercies and watch monday's angel while chomping chocolate in preparation for long night ahead...

...good luck coddy...

codswallop · 03/09/2003 14:01

went to doctor - of course he blew raspberries throughout BUT seems to have an ear infection - well the Dr thought so through all the wax.

So at ast we may have an explanation. amoxy all round

Janstar · 04/09/2003 08:57

Coddy, I thought you were saying the doctor was blowing raspberries at first

aloha · 04/09/2003 09:50

My ds always slept better when his grandma put
s him to bed because she absolutely buried him in high tog sleeping bag and blankets!! I know you aren't supposed to but the eskimo approach did seem to work re sleep and my ds was a horror baby for sleep. My face has never recovered. Mind you she is a very enthusiastic grandma so he's also always been worn out by her too.

codswallop · 05/09/2003 10:54

I'm still trying to work on an automatic waking at 3am, which is bloody stupid and driving me bananas I know.

Hope you do better tonight, cods.

judetheobscure · 05/09/2003 21:32

Bet you don't want to hear this but I thought waking every 4 hours was fairly normal at that age. Of my friends only a very few have got their babies sleeping through the night at 12 weeks. (mostly bottle fed it has to be said). Mine varied from every 4-6 hours (which I thought was good) to every 1 1/2 - 2 hours (BAAAAAAD). But as I fed them lying down in bed, and they went back to sleep after they fed (didn't cry much except in the early days) on the whole it wasn't too awful. Only cracked the sleeping lark when they were about 9 months, but have never looked back since.

oliveoil · 10/09/2003 13:43

dd got her third tooth yesterday!! Hopefully this will mean more sleep for moi zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

codswallop · 10/09/2003 13:52

motherinferior · 10/09/2003 15:24

Buy him some tacky placky ones as an 'apology'?

Hope evaporating here, along with my energy reserves.

codswallop · 10/09/2003 15:40

How old now?

OP posts:
codswallop · 10/09/2003 15:44

sure its not temperature?

OP posts:
motherinferior · 10/09/2003 18:35

11 weeks. Don't think it's temperature except in the sense of possibly feeling too cold; she's also feeding like mad today so presumably growing. It really isn't that bad, just feels like it IYKWIM.

motherinferior · 10/09/2003 18:36

What does dh keep doing in South Africa, btw?
