Early waking 15 month old

I'm hoping for some advice for DD who is 15 mo. She is a good sleeper but a few weeks ago she moved from two day time naps to one and it seems to have messed up her morning waking time. She has a nap from about 1 - 3pm and goes to bed at 7 - 7.15pm, but wakes up anywhere between 5 and 6.30am. She often seems tired by late morning, but will not go back to sleep once she's woken up until her after lunch nap. I don't think she still needs her morning nap as she started to resist this and generally seems to be getting enough sleep on the days when she wakes after 6am, but the very early starts don't seem to suit her.

I've read about wake to sleep and wondered whether to try it to get her consistently sleeping a bit later in the mornings (6.30 would be nice, or 7 - am I being greedy?!). Does anyone have any advice / experience? Do I need to put up with it and be grateful she sleeps so well, or would WTS work? Thanks.

Have you tried bringing her into bed with you in the mornings? Could be a long shot, but I've found my DS sleeps longer if he's in with us.

What's wake to sleep?

We do sometimes bring her into bed with us, but that just seems to wake her up more!

I'm no expert, but I think the idea is that you rouse them an hour or so before they usually wake up to encourage them to go into a deeper sleep (for longer) and not wake up at their usual early hour. I'm a bit scared to try it though in case she wakes up properly and won't go back to sleep!

There have been previous threads in this section about Wake to Sleep (may be worth doing a search). It seems to take about 3 mornings but is successful.
Our DD woke consistently between 4.45am and 5.00am from about 11 months to 19 months. To be honest we never tried WTS and just went to bed at 9pm to cope with the early starts. Plus she was in bed for 6pm each evening so 11 hours uninterupted sleep seemed good going!
However, since she started walking and became more physically active we have seen a big change in her wake up time. She now wakes normally at about 6am (which seems a fantastic lie in for us!) and does occasionally wake at 6.30/6.45am. She has also started to manage to stay awake for longer in the evening and doesn't go to bed until 6.30/6.45pm.
So the only things I can suggest are WTS, an earlier bedtime maybe to compensate for the nap she has dropped (sounds mad but an earlier bedtime can result in a later wake up time) or just going with it and going to bed earlier to cope with earlier starts!!
Good luckx
