my dd is a terrible sleeper, just got back from holiday (where she slept fantastic!) and the horrible nights have returned, she has started shouting out and crying all night, i always end up in her bed with her, most of the time it's not till 5/6 o'clock in the morning, but last night it was 1 o'clock! do i have just have to be tough to get her out of the habit? does anyone else do this?

Sounds like she's just chancing her luck! My advice would be to be firm...... however, my ds co-slept with us until he was 3 just so we could get a nights sleep!!!

well i've not been into dd's bed since mon night!but she's been in ours! only from 5.30/6 ish in the morning and she's sleeping til 7.30/8 ish, so we're all getting more sleep.
dh isn't bwst pleased though, feel like a can't win, will try and take her into spare bedroom tomorrow morning. aargh!

I had the same problem Lillybird so one afternoon we went to a special shop where she was able to make her own teddy bear (it's called the bear factory) and we also got her a tape machine and lots of story tapes so that she now has an extra special teddy bear and stories!
