Help please all! I am having a nightmare at the moment. DD has been wearing a hip harness since she was about three weeks old. On Wednesday night she wore the harness at night for the last time, and she is now out of it for good, yay. So far, so good.
However, her first night out of the harness was the night from hell. We had been getting her down (after a long breast feed and bottle top up, then rocking and shushing) before 9pm, sometimes as early as 8.15pm. On Thursday, she just WOULD NOT sleep. We had been trying to put her down well over two hours so I decided with all that crying she probably was hungry again and fed her. At 11pm I managed to get her to sleep in her cot - for half an hour. The rest of the night was hell - she slept for no more than 10 mins at a time until about 3.30am when I gave up and took her in with us, meaning I had a terrible night's sleep.
Then last night was more of the same except we couldn't get her in the cot at all. It was v hard to rock her to sleep but once we'd done it (probably about 5 times between the two of us) and tried to put her in the cot she immediately woke. We've never had a problem with her sleeping in the cot before - she's been in it since we came home from hospital, and I really don't know what to do. I figure it could be a reaction to the harness, or it could be the dreaded 4-month growth spurt (last night when she was in with us she fed about three or four times) or it could be teething or it could be general perversity. Her daytime napping was no different to normal. But what I'm most worried about is she clearly isn't getting enough sleep. All suggestions welcomed...
