c-section - pain after

Hello, I had a c-section two weeks ago and today I have start started getting pain in my stomach and abs area, coming in waves and lasting a few seconds. I spoke to NHS Direct (couldn't get through to my doctors) and they said take pain killers and relax.

I was wondering if anybody else had suffered these pains?

Is your health visitor/ midwife still regularly visiting? If so could you get them to check your wound and talk it through with them.

I've had two c-sections and bleed quite heavily, as do most, for 2-3 weeks. Sometimes the pain was like mini contractions with the body adjusting and clearing itself. It was never so bad I felt like I needed to lie down but along with general post birth tiredness I did feel it took it out of me a bit.

i think its the uterus contracing and settling down after birth. it does calm down after a while.
