Hi all,

My 4 week old has been awake since 9.45am until now, she has finally fallen asleep but this has taken a lot of work! I thought she'd still sleep more than this in the day. Is this normal? She's been snacking on and off for all this time too.

Thanks in advance.

She woke up not long after I posted. I gave her a bottle and now she's only just gone back to sleep. Is it usual for such a young baby to be awake for this time?!

the thing about very young babies and sleep is... well... anything's normal!

Until they're well settled into a routine, they can be awake, asleep or that dozy inbetweeny bit.

I wouldn;t worry, take advantage of the quiet now she's asleep again and see how she gets on tomorrow.

She might have been dozing when feeding? How does she seem?
