12 wk old now not sleeping...normal? HELP!

Morning! (Just)

Well, it is 0450 and have got up for a nice cup of tea with my beautiful 12 wk old daughter who has this week decided to stop sleeping.

Up until now she has slept from around 7pm to between 2 and 4am when she wakes for a feed, then goes back down for a couple of hours.

This week she has slept from 7pm to 5am, then 3am, then 2am, 1am then midnight. She has then woken up every 1.5 to 2 hrs after before waking up for good between 5 and 7. So far tonight she slept from 7pm until midnight and has pretty much not slept since. She isn't hungry, just wide awake.

Is this a normal sleep regression? If it is and it is just for a few weeks I can handle it I reckon, but if I am doing something wrong I'd rather know. We have a pretty good night time routine (bath, feed, bed) that she seems to respond to, but she doesn't sleep much during the day.

She is quite content at the mo, bouncing in her chair and smiling.

Should I reinstate the 10/11pm feed? (Should say she is still EBF.) I stopped it because I was having to work so hard to wake her it seemed silly. Or should I just suck it up and go to bed when she does?! I guess I have just been spoilt so far having a baby that slept really quite well.

All/any help appreciated...thanks!

Awww...

No answers here I'm afraid but my sympathies and watching keenly. My 12 wk old DS is exactly the same. He was sleeping thru til about 3 ish, waking for a feed and going back down straight away till around 5. But now he wakes between 12 and 1 and is taking around 30 mins to go back down. Then he's waking at about 4 and staying awake. If me or DP is awake with him he's happy as larry, smiling away. If not tho he starts to cry. We bring him downstairs and put him in his bouncy chair and he usually nods off again about an hour later but only for around 30 - 40 mins.

I too suspect I have been slightly spoilt with a baby sleeping well.

Hopefully some1 will come along with answers for both of us :)
