7 month shuffling up cot

7 month DS is a tummy sleeper (with movement monitor) and to be fair is not too bad a sleeper at night... However, recently he is shuffling his way to the top of the cot until his head meets the bumper. He then keeps shuffling till he has his neck all crooked and wakes up yelling. Fair enough if you're in discomfort but does anyone have any tips to prevent the shuffling? Blankets don't seem to cut it and it must be hard to self settle when you're almost doing a head stand... Teeth and the cold aren't helping the sleep pattern but if the shuffling could be contained it would give us all a chance!

No advice, but I think it's because they're trying to crawl. DS (7 months) has been doing this for about 1-2 months now - he's also a tummy sleeper. It's very annoying, but I find that some nights are better than others. It's also got better since he has got more mobile - although he can't crawl yet, he can move around quite well and reach his toys etc when he wants them...
