I have an 8 m.o. DD who has decided not to nap in the day. A bit of history, she stopped feeding to sleep during the day at about 4 months but I could rock her to sleep. At about 7 months she wouldn't be rocked to sleep either but would let me cuddle her to sleep in my bed. Over the last week-ish she has decided that she doesn't want to go to sleep at all in the day. No amount of rocking/feeding/cuddling seems to help. She's too busy looking around to go to sleep in the pram and I'm loathe to drive around for two hours each day to try to get 30 mins of sleep out of her.
Her daily routine (mostly) is:
5 am - wake and BF in my bed, goes back to sleep
7 am - wake and up for the day
7:30 am - breakfast
9:00 am - nap
10:30 am - BF
1 pm - lunch and sometimes BF
1:30 pm - nap
4 pm - BF
6:00 pm - dinner
7 pm - bath, story, song
7:30 pm - BF to sleep
4 times out of 5 she will happily BF to sleep at night and I am happy to continue to do so. Thankfully she sleeps well at night and generally settles herself back to sleep if she wakes before 4 am.
Any suggestions on what I can do to get her to have some sleep in the day?! She's being a real devil challenge about naps at the moment and I'm just about at wits end with it.
I am not adverse to sleep training although know I don't have the gumption to stick with CC. I'm not sure if PUPD or the no cry sleep solution would work for the day time naps if I'm still feeding to sleep at night?
TIA
