3yr old still sleeping in cot. Problem or not?

My 3yr old is still sleeping in her cot and am worried that it might cause issues later on. I have left her there for so long as she has never once tried to climb out and seems so happy in it that I didn't see the point. It is a cotbed so big enough for her to be comfortable and she sleeps so beautifully all night long that I am scared to move to a big bed in case it upsets her. Anyone else got kids older than 3 still in a cot?

I wouldn't worry about it .My neice was over 3 and my sister decided at 3 1/2 to take off the side and put cushions along and she never got out of bed and still slept amazingly .So don't worry ! just keep her bedtime routine the same tell her it's going to happen but not make tto much of a fuss ,lots of praise and she should be fine .

Doesn't sound like you have any problems, just carry on doing as you are and trust in your own decisions.

So is my 2.8 year old. She's staying in it as long as possible!

Although on reflection i will take the sides off when she's 14 Grin
