Hi All,
I'm new to this and very desperate to find a way that I can get my one year old daughter to go to bed and sleep through the night!

We've tried everything with her and we found the most successful way to get our eldest to sleep was to leave her to cry but this one, she makes herself sick! As soon as she goes in her cot it's instant hysterics followed by sick and surely this isn't healthy?!

I literally come home from work about 6pm and I spend all evening fighting with her to go to sleep. I've tried giving her milk and a cuddle before putting her down, I've tried using music, tried it without music, with a pillow, without a pillow,I've tried sitting in her room with her but this makes her worse because she can see me and wants out. in the end we let her wear herself out and then rock her to sleep in a baby bouncer (about 10-11pm)!

That's not all... she wakes 2-3 times a night. Sometimes a bottle of milk will settle her off, sometimes not.

There has got to be way that I can get her to go to bed and stay there, and sleep through the night but the sick issue is very worrying.

Please can someone help beacause I'm going out of mind!

Thank you
Sarah

How is her daytime sleeping - is it possible that she's overtired at bedtime so can't settle? (or alternatively having too much sleep too late in the afternoon?) Do you have a consistent bedtime routine (milk/bath/story etc) and what time are you starting to put her to bed? (My son is 13 months and I find if I start bedtime too late then he's too tired and it takes longer for him to get to sleep!)
