Naps gone to pot - developmental thing?

DD (just over 8 months) has only ever had short naps during the day, but is usualy fairly predictable as to when she will take them. For the last couple of days, however, she has stayed awake for hours longer than she usually does. This morning she was up at 7.15 or so, and she is still awake (nearly 5 hours later)! She has only just learned to roll onto her tummy (she hated tummy time) and several times has got onto her tummy on her cot and got stuck. Could her lack of naps be related to this development? She has 2 teeth, so I don't think it's a teething thing.

Yes it could be a developmental thing.
Babies sleep behaivours and patterns are always changing so if your baby has been a great sleeper there is a chance that they will go through a stage and it all goes to pot.For example when they learn to stand up in their cot!
