Ds ( almost 6 months) usually sleeps til about 9 30 am. He sleeps in his bedside cot for the first part of the night then we co sleep from about 3 or 4 until the time when we wake up, around 9 30. For the last week around 630,he will not get comfortable. He will toss, turn cry on me/beside me, until I have to sit up to nurse him. No other position will do. Before he would nurse and sleep in any position really. I have tried putting him on my chest, my side.I wonder if it is because he is wet?? But if I change him we will be up for good and he will be cranky, which I have been doing regardless. Or maybe really hungry? But he use to eat in any position? Anyone have any clues to his restlessness so early?

What time do you put him to bed? If he is wet could you not change him then nurse him? I am up with ds at 6 every morning, 9.30 sounds like a luxury!

I put him down around 10:00, which most would say is a bit late but it works for us since I get all my chores done after he goes down and still get some sleep. It is a luxury! I dont want it to change. I suppose I could changr him then nurse, but I dont think he would go right back down:(

10 is quite late - maybe with the changing day lengths his cycle is changing a bit?

Is it the nursing position or sleeping position that's the problem - couldn't work out from your post Blush

Igglybuff- It is kinda both. Nomatter what position we are in sleeping, (or trying to)he can easily nurse always. Or at least I thought he could. Its what we have always done since day 1 though so..Confused

I think as babies get older they can move around themselves so develop a preference for feeding positions. My DS doesn't feed lying down - only with me sitting up. Maybe he's just uncomfy and likes to be a bit upright - could be wind? Sometimes happens at that time of morning.

Or is he learning to roll and trying to turn over then getting upset?
