well were in abit of a pickle sleep wise!

We have 2 DD's 2.7 and 3 months, DD2 sleeps through 7pm - 6.30am and is a fab sleeper,

DD1 is awful and were really starting to struggle now with the lack of sleep were getting.

bedtime is perfect she goes to bed at 7.30 - 7.45 with no hassle after her milk and bath, its in the night we have issues... she doesnt sleep through the night she wakes up screaming and crying, nightmares talking in sleep etc maybe 2am and 4am then she refuses to go back in her room as she seems scared, she wont sleep with us so after a long battle i end up downstairs at 5.30!

Ive spoke to hv not too helpful but i have tried a few things already:

No tv at least 3 hours before bed
more stories / quite time before bed
Nightlight

She doesnt have a dummie (not for about a year now) and just stopped her having a bottle at night as i thought thats what was waking her (wanting more milk) but shes still waking and not asking for bottle or milk

Any tips, help or advise would be appriated :) im going to talk her to docs but i need to know ive tried everything so he'll take me serouisly

Hi,
My DC are similar ages (2.6& 4 months).
Has her sleep got worse since the baby has arrived? Our DD very rarely woke up and now wakes up yelling fairly often.we too have bought a nightlight,we also leave a beaker of water for her.
Sorry not many suggestions just to say we are going through similar.
I think you're doing the right thing by not adding any bad habits i.e night feeds etc.

Now,how can I get my baby to sleep as well yours?!

yes, she use to be quite a good sleeper there was always 2 nights out of the week that she would be up in the night tho, but since DD2 came along i think it has got worse,

Does your DC1 have a sleep in the day?

Think im just really lucky with DD2 sleeping :) its a good job she does or i'd get no sleep!!
