How do I put him down?

My ds is 10 weeks old, during the day he either sleeps in his bouncy chair, with the vibrations on and me bouncing it with my foot or on me.

This is all well and good, til I go to put him down and he wakes up, Ive tried laying him on my warm patch on the sofa, my dressing gown, wedging him between cushions etc. He wakes up everytime I put him down and he gets so overtired.

What can I do to make him stay asleep, it doesnt always need to be in his moses basket (he has no trouble going down at night).
I have an untidy flat that needs cleaning!

Why wouldn't you let him sleep in the chair? My HV said it was fine for naps.

he is young yet - don't panic.

electric swing?

No sleeping in the chair is fine, its only when he falls asleep on me and then I cant put him down.

nicky I would but they are expensive and he doesnt go to sleep in the pram even so wondering if it would even work?

Ah see what you mean! Have you tried a sling at all. It was a lifesaver for me for a bit as I could at least do washing etc.

Both my DDs where like this. It started changing about 14 weeks. Until then, I used a sling and ignored the mess! DD2 is now 6 months and my house has gone bact to its fairly tidy state.Smile

I dont really like my sling (im borrowing it from a friend) Ive used it once out shopping but really dragged my shoulders down and made them ache.

twofalls ok I can wait 4 more weeks! Its more him being overtired than anything, ah guess Ill just have to wait it out.

I do remember very well the angst of the "putting down moment" and then two little eyes would ping open. It got much better when I put her to sleep in her cot. Only trouble now is that at 9 months she tries to climb out of it.

Ah just goes to show if its not one thing its another!
Its just a phase, its just a phase....Grin
