i sleepwalk and also talk in my sleep, apparently its quite funny for other people to hear me chatting. but now my 3yr old dd has started sleepwalking. she comes to me wide awake, i just lead her back to bed and put her back in where she promptly goes back to sleep. sometimes she talk to me whilst she is sleepwalking, tonight she came out and said 'help me' but was obviously not awake and with it as there was nothing she needed help with.
she talks a lot in her sleep too, it can be very disturbing to hear her chatting in her sleep at silly hours of the night, its usually just rubbish and muttering, but sometimes she sounds so frightened that i go and check on her, but again she is definaltly asleep. does anyone know why she is doing this? is she having bad dreams or is it something i will just have to get used to?

My dd1 started talking in her sleep at about 3 and now dd2 (3 and 4ms) has been doing it for a couple of months. It is disturbing to hear them muttering away isn't it!! Dd1 also has quite bad night terrors at this age, and dd2 has the odd bad night. I thought it was to do with when their imagination kicks off, they have alot going on in their days and process it in their sleep. With both of mine it's happened around the time when they started alot of imaginary play. It eased with dd1 after about 6ms, but she does do it now and again, if she's got something "going on" e.g. school play/trip etc. Homeopathy definitely helped ease the night terrors for us, so it may help your dd with sleep walking/talking?? HTH.
