What can be wrong to make him wake?

Hi

My ds is 20 months old. He has slept really well - all night - from about 4 1/2 months apart from the odd teething, colds etc.

However, for the past 2 weeks he has been waking at 4am and being really 'grissle-y' - not really crying but making a lot of noise. He eventually goes back to sleep and then wakes again grissling (is there such a word?) at about 6. He is fine during the day (although I have noticed that he sometimes puts his hands over his ears but doesn't seem to be in any pain) and goes to sleep as normal at 7.30 ish. There have been no changes to his routines.

Can anyone think why there may be a change in his sleep pattern? (And please reassure me that it will change back :))

Thanks in advance

Teeth?

My 26 month old is like this at the moment and I am sure it is due to teeth.

Sometimes they touch their ears as it is the nearest area to the pain IYSWIM.

Perhaps try some calpol before he goes to bed.

It will change back

Thanks Pioneer.

We have been lucky and he hasn't really suffered before so I am never sure if it is teeth. He has almost a full set now but still needs a few and I think the last ones are usually bad, aren't they?

I will definately try some calpol... and an early night. I'm exhausted from all these early mornings when I am not used to it!

Thanks again :)
