From cosleeping to a big boy bed :)

We have been gently encouraging 2 year old DS to sleep in his own bed, sharing a bedroom with his 4 year old sister rather than us.

DH has done the settling/bedtimes more often than not recently, since the arrival of newborn DD2. There has been moany shouty behaviour from DS some bedtimes and this has made me wonder if he was ready to settle on his own.

Then tonight I heard giggling from their room and found DD1 and DS cuddled up together in his bed. (Picture on my profile)

Aww, I think he likes his big boy bed and his big sister :)

I'm sure we'll have harder nights ahead, it can't be this easy to move a co-sleeping breastfed child to their own bed but they made me smile tonight.

DD was back in her bed by the time I checked again but DS stayed in his bed all night :)
