DS2 9mo waking for the day at 5am - help!!

DS2 now wakes around 5am for his morning feed but doesn't go back to sleep! I'm shattered. He then sleeps longer for his morning nap, so I'm worried it's fast becoming a habit.

Any ideas on how I can change this? I suspect that he's waking hungry (he seems to feed well) and then as he's almost had enough sleep, he thinks the day should start. He's in his own room now so maybe he's waking more before feeding than he was when I just lifted out from beside my bed? Then he'd seem to feed and then fall back asleep.

He's on 3 meals a day plus 2 or 3 snacks, bf at 5am, bf at 7pm before bed then a dream feed of 8oz of that night time milk at 10:30.

Whilst I'm happy that I now get to sleep until 5, I really need that extra hour I'm missing! If he'd just go through to say 6 that would make all the difference.

Do you think he's getting enough milk in the day ? DS is 8 months and has a fair few more milk feeds (but he is a very big baby and still doesn't sleep very well !!)

Is he cold at all ? I've only just realised that DS has been worse the last few weeks (since the weather changed) and we put him in a warmer sleepsuit and bigger tog sleeping bag last night and he was much more settled.

He dropped all his milk feeds himself in the day when I went back to work Sad he's definitely getting the pint he should in his 3 feeds and his breakfast, and he eats a fair bit at each meal.
I've just upped his sleeping bag so hopefully that might do the trick. Will also try more food/more calorific food!
