Do Quiet Cot Mattresses Exist?

I've got a (IMO) damn expensive mattress for DS from Mothercare. Everytime he rolls over it makes a sort of crunkly noise. His old mattress wa the same. Could it be wakening him up? Are there quieter mattresses available?

Maybe foam mattresses are quieter. Know what you mean about the crinkly noise - DS's does the same. Always been put off foam ones though as I would have thought they would be really hot and friend said her child's mattress ended up with a child shaped dent in it.

I bought an expensive one from Mothercare also and found the same thing - it didn't bother dd but it drive me insane hearing her wriggle around. I eventually found a zip up (washable) padded mattress cover which made the world of difference (could try wrapping a towel or another sheet under the top one?? for now)! Good luck

ooh, now a padded mattress cover sounds just the ticket! I'm using a doubled-over fleece blanket under his sheet but that makes bugger all difference.
