Have you tried making up the bed/cot with several layers of bedding and towels between so you can iwth minimum fuss strip off the soiled bedding and put the child back down. Maybe with your partner one quickly/quietly clean up bed and the other one the child.

thanks bozza for replying but its not that kind of sick, he gets cold after cold after flu after cold after tummy bug etc etc etc, goes about 2.5 weeks well and then comes down with something that throws sleeping through the window, when he is well he will only wake once, when he is ill he will wake every 20-50 minutes.

Do you give him vitamin drops? That may help stop him picking up so many bugs? Other than that all I can suggest is dose him up with Medised when he is sick. HTH.

yes we give him flurodix (sp?) and acidophilus and try to maintain a pretty healthy diet.

I had that with DD

We tried vitamins but it didn't seem to help much. Fresh air helped mostly (not saying that yours don't have fresh air ) - we started taking her out in the open for at least an hour a day. She seemed to start getting less bugs then.

It could just have been age levelling out her immune system though, or that she'd had every illness possible by then!

I hate to say though... she was about 18 months by the time she started to get more healthy.

BUT - she was sleeping settled before then. We just made an ill routine and a healthy one - as soon as she was healthy again, we went straight back to it (enduring a couple of nights of tears), and she seemed to finally click.

thanks flamesparrow, only 6 months to go b4 hes had every bug under the sun eh? we do the ill routine and well routine as well just hoping it isnt confusing him, he is too young to pull a sickie to get the extra attention isnt he?
