HELP! 6mo wakes every 3 hours during the night

hi,

We're becoming desperate.

Our 6 month old goes to sleep without any problems at 7-7:30pm every night but recently he's started waking at 11pm, 2am and 5am.

He doesn't cry - I just hear him banging his legs on the cot bars and making a cooing noise. I usually go in and give himm his dummy and he resettles within 10 mins or so. When I have left him for a while he starts to get very cranky and we're afraid he'll wake his twn sister who is in the same room fast asleep.

We haven't been feeding in the night since 14 weeks so I don't want to introduce it again now.

I know it could be worse because he goes down without any problems and resettles fairly quickly but it's gradually getting worse.

I've tried restricting his naps during the day but it just makes him super cranky all day. He has 4 x 1hour naps between 6am and 7pm but I have to wake him from every nap after an hour to make sure he doesn't sleep too long.

Any suggestions would be really welcome.

Could he be hungry? may be it is time to really wean, my MW just told me that a proper meal is 100g up to 200g of fiber/starch and protein, if unbalanced the baby will be unsettled and hungry more often

thirsty? try water.
teething?

Mine has doing that too (25 weeks) from 22 weeks, and she was happy to resettled with her dummy, last week she started waking up for a feed. (trashing her legs and whinging, before really crying out, dummy and water wouldn't do it)
I have just started to wean her properly, she is waking up for water, it is very hot here but no more feeds.

I wouldn't wake him up from his nap though.

Some people will advise you to let him cry for 2 nights and then he will never wakes up again, I can't and scared of the other one waking up too. If you got the courge to try

My DS went through a growth spurt at around 6 months where he woke more to feed at night. After a few nights he stopped and I noticed he felt a lot heavier..!
