Chalet Verwall

Help! Booked a late deal to Chalet Verwall in Obergurgl with Esprit but have since seen a few dodgy reviews for it. Anyone been lately? Any tips?

Brilliant location 50m from piste
Excellent chalet host and staff
Top notch childcare
Great resort
Good food and wine

Standard of chalet fine -not luxury but clean, enough room, plenty of hot water and well organised. Nice snow club room

was wondering if ur back from ur skiing yet?? how was it?? considering obergurgl as our ski hol for next yr, so be interested to hear

Just got back, had a fab holiday. Totally back up Newskiier's comments. Obergurgl itself was great in a quiet way! Not much night life but small and cosy and very little posing unlike some resorts. No queues at lifts and great snow. Pistes were great for intermediates and my ds and dd (10 and 7) on first trip were whizzing down red runs by end of week (they had done a few dry ski lessons beforehand which paid off). A few with 3 and 4 year old beginners felt the nursery slopes were limited. Good ski school too. Extra keen experts might find the slopes a little limited by the end of the week but is option for a day in Solden for 10 euros. We would certainly go back.
