club med chamonix - cant provide car seats for transfer and say dont bother bringing one

will also post in travel but just got message from club med saying that they won't provide a car seat for 2 hour transfer to chamonix and I can't bring one as it won't fit into their coach.

I am bit more relaxed than I was about this re pfb but this is a 2 hour trip on icy roads. Any advice about what to do? I have a car seat that you can actually clip in using a seat belt so I'm not sure that excuse washes.

Bit pissed off as discussed this in detail when booked and none of this was mentioned.

PFB will be 20 months so I suppose I could have her on my lap but that doesnt leave me with a warm happy feeling ...

I'm afraid that is standard unless you do a private transfer by minibus or taxi. Geneva to Chamonix is a very straightforward highway journey, not particularly winding or icy. Unless you have paid for an extra seat she may not even be allocated one.

I know how you feel as I've always been concerned about this. We are going away soon and we will be on a coach transfer and I'm a little nervous.

However, as Lizs said above the journey from Geneva to Chamonix isn't too bad and they do a brilliant job over there of keeping the roads clear.

Thanks all- I know it's a good route as have done it before but I get very pfb re car safety (prob as was in car accident as kid myself).Still done some digging and found some rein type things that are better than nothing

I know its not perfect but the coach will usually have lap belts too. That together with some reins should help you feel better. But I don't think YABU to worry
