Sodding airport has closed due to snow. We are supposed to be on a flight at 6am tomorrow to Geneva. Just hope it clears by then

I feel your pain. I was supposed to go on Friday (only driving though), but the highway out of town was closed due to freezing rain, Argh!

I hope it clears for you in time, and you have a good trip.

Should you check with the hotel (or wherever you're staying) to find out their policy for payment if you are unable to get there due to weather, or arrive a few days late?

Would add insult to injury if you were charged for accommodation you were unable to use!

Oh no! I really hope it clears enough for the airport to reopen for you.

Earlybird - we are staying at my FiLs house no problem with payment for accommodation........just poor chap won't get his christmas meal cooked by me this year

The snow is easing off a bit now. Hopefully they can get runways cleared and planes taking off in the morning. Don't fancy a 4am trip down the motorway for nothing so will be regularly checking the airport's website.

Not happening . Flight cancelled. Luckily we have re-scheduled to 26th but won't be the same not spending Christmas with FiL.

Isn't it ridiculous how quickly our country comes to a standstill with a bit of snow??!!
